Ashley MacIsaac Ashley MacIsaac is, in a sense, the musical representative of the pre-millenial generation of Eastern Canada. An ardent traditionalist with a penchant, nevertheless, for experimentation, this 29-year-old Nova Scotian native has been taught to play the fiddle the working-class, pub-stomp Cape Breton way: fast, furious and with phenomenal precision. Reforging and recreating Celtic music with an updated, mass-appeal quality, MacIsaac has put his own spin on the sounds he was brought up with.

Tosca Tosca is the brainchild of Richard Dorfmeister + Rupert Huber. Both met in school where they shared the same enthusiasm about music. Very soon they formed their first group called Dehli 9, which was a wild collective, experimenting with tape machines and indian influences, mixed with poetry lyrics.
After school everybody went its way. Rupert decided to work in the experimental music scene, while Richard teamed up with Peter Kruder to form the producer/dj duo Kruder+Dorfmeister. Their K&D remix sessions are legendary.
In 1994, Richard and Rupert met again to do a new thing called Tosca

Xavier Rudd Through the conscious and heartfelt songs composing Solace, the debut of Australian surf/roots artist Xavier Rudd, there’s stories of the mistreatment of the indigenous people of his homeland and songs about humanity, spirituality and the environment, compassionate songs encouraging understanding and looking to celebrate life. And running through those songs are all sorts of instruments: guitars, shakers, didgeridoos, Weissenborn slide guitars, Tongue drums, stomp boxes, djembes, harmonica, ankle bells, and slide banjo—and they’re all played by Rudd.
